A meal fit for a King!
Today our team was hosted by the local Medical District for lunch.
Highlights of the meal included:

Grilled Sausages- not sure what the meat was
Lots of Happy Water- basic moon shine made from rice

Bottom line is it was an amazing meal.
We were honored to have a few special guest join us: Chief Medical Director for the District and his assistant director. Thao who was one of the first patients who benefited from the work of our non-profit 18 years ago. She had her hand repaired so that she could have normal function with fingers. Changed her life and she is forever grateful and now support the organization locally. Cool Story.
I've eaten quite a few crazy foods (and some unrecognizable as well- particularly during my visits to China) but I don't think I have ever been served Stir Fried Bee Larvae before! Did you try it, Bob? And if so, what did it taste like? Curious minds want to know! :-)
ReplyDeleteBob, when you said the food was good and that I should come along, you never mentioned bugs. I guess, as they say, when in Viet Nam, eat like you are in Viet Nam. Did you find the American Embassy (McDonalds) yet? Keep up the good work. PS- your truck is safe. I walked by the other night. I know you are worried.
